Joint Venture Announcement

Arc Capital is pleased to announce our new partnership with the Sapien Group, which comprises venture capital (Sapien Ventures), equities, and fixed income (Sapien Asset Management), trustee and regulatory compliance services (Sapien Capital Partners), and corporate advisory (Keiretsu Forum Australia).

The new joint venture, Sapien-Arc, builds on Arc Capital’s unique global hedging methodology and superior returns for its investors and combines with the market breadth and fintech sector depth of the Sapien Group.

Together, the new Sapien-Arc Behavioral Finance and Quantitative Strategies Fund aim to leverage insights in behavioral finance with the scalability of innovative fintech for continued alpha-generation for investors.

“I am thrilled to announce the new chapter of Arc Captial, the launching of our first global fund, partnered with Sapien Group. We were impressed by Sapien's exceptional performance and comprehensive front-end services. For myself, it was delighted to discover that Victor and I not only share a common outlook for the market but more importantly, a common purpose for our combined future. As our first Global Behavioral & Quantitative Strategies fund, the joint venture will accelerate and thrive through the fusion of both team's resources and talents.” Commented Mr. Anderson Ma, Cofounder and Chief Executive Officer of Arc Capital.

Mr. Victor Jiang, Cofounder, and MD of the Sapien Group said: “As Sapien looks to expand on its offerings for a wider and more diverse group of investors from around the world, new capabilities in new asset classes that can nonetheless greatly leverage our existing capabilities and strengths are of high priority for us. Arc Capital brings to us a whole new perspective to look at the global capital markets as well as new asset classes, whilst allowing us to build upon our existing fintech and back-office capabilities to further solidify alpha-generating capacity, especially in the non-traditional equity or debt sectors."

The new fund will be an open-ended fund, and while it only starts its formal capital-raising from September 2020, it has already secured a preliminary USD $5m to-date and has been generating a positive alpha against that month-on-month.
